Kitchen Utensils

Chefs around the world have the same idea about the greatness of English Cuisine: That it's simple and honest in flavour. The gustatory tradition is unique in a sense that, unlike Chinese Cuisine which focuses mainly on strong herbal tastes and American Cuisine which particularly favors "calories" more than anything else (no offense meant), it tended to veer from strong flavours, such as garlic and avoid complex sauces. Well, these are indeed true. It's just that we in this site feel that there's another reason. What these chefs failed to note is that aside from these two factors, there's another driving force behind the success that is the food of the United Kingdom now. And this other "factor" is none other than the country's quality kitchen utensils.

No kidding. If you think that we were just joking or drunk when we attached UK kitchen utensils to the greatness of English Cuisine, well, we need not say that cooking and this site aren't for you (ask any chef and find out that kitchen utensils are indeed important in the cooking process). Do you think that the English will be able to invent a dish that's as perfect as The Sunday roast without an equally perfect oven? Or is it still possible for English chefs to make other heavenly batches of Christmas pudding during the holidays without the trusty Laddle and Cheese cloth?

Banneton, Cauldron, Chinoise, Pastry bags, pan etc... all have given their help to establish English Cuisine to what it is known today --- a cooking tradition filled with pure greatness and noteworthy food artistry.
